Blur / Split Blur – To blur an image, click Blur. Repeat this step to increase the blur. For a softer effect, use the Special Effects/Smooth function. For a split blur effect, click Split Blur to open the Split Blur window and then slide the Adjustment bar to the right to increase the blur effect.
Noise – To add an effect like "snow" on a television screen, select Noise to open the Noise window. Slide the Adjustment bar to the right to increase the amount of noise.
Smooth – To smooth an image, click Smooth. This effect will blur and soften the edges between objects in the image. Repeat to continue softening.
Sharpen – To sharpen an image, click Sharpen. Repeat to continue sharpening.Mosaic – To convert an image into a picture composed of singularly colored tiles, click Mosaic to open the Mosaic window. Slide the Adjustment bar to the right to increase the effect.
Fisheye – To apply a fisheye effect to an image, click Fisheye to open the Fisheye window. Slide the Adjustment bar to the right to increase the effect.
Wave – To apply a wave effect to an image, click Wave to open the Wave Effects window. Slide the x and/or y coordinates bar to the desired position and then slide the z bar to apply the wave effect. Check the Wrap Edges checkbox to wrap the edges. Click Reset if you wish to undo the effect and start over.
Emboss – To emboss an image, select Emboss.
Color Effects – Click XRed, XGreen or XBlue to create plasma effects in images. In the Color Effects window, slide the Adjustment bar to the right and then slide the Intensity bar to the left to adjust the effect. Apply Blur or Smooth effects to the retained image to produce the desired plasma effect.
Squeeze – To squeeze an image, click Squeeze and then select one of the Squeeze effects (Horizontal, Top, Bottom, etc.) to open the Squeeze window. Slide the Adjustment bar to the right to increase the effect.
Split – To split an image, click Split and then click Round or Transpose to open the Split window. Slide the Adjustment bar to the right to increase the effect.
Ripple – To apply a ripple effect to an image, click Ripple and then select Tooth or Random to open the Ripple window. Slide the Adjustment bar to the right to increase the effect.
Tile – To tile an image, click Tile and then click Normal or Overlap to open the Tile window. Slide the Adjustment bar to the left to increase the effect.
