Emailing Images

The Email function allows you to attach one or more images to an email message. Images can be emailed from ScreenPrint's Main Window after you capture an image, or they can be emailed immediately after pressing the Print Screen key.

The Email function works with any email client (Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.) installed on your PC that is listed in the Windows SendTo folder. The default location of the SendTo folder is:

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\"User Name"\SendTo
Windows Vista: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo

The E-mail function must be configured before you can email images. To configure the Email function:

  1. Select one or more image file names in the in the Main Window File List Box.
  2. Click E-mail on the menu bar and select your email client (Mail Recipient if Outlook Express or Outlook is installed on your PC).

Note: Your email client must be MAPI (Messaging Application Program Interface) enabled. This is the specification that enables an application to send and receive mail over a Microsoft Mail message system. This shoulld not be an issue if you are using Outlook or Outlook Express. If you are using a non-Microsoft email client (e.g., Eudora, Netscape, Thunderbird, etc.) and a MAPI error occurs when you use ScreenPrint's email function, see your email client's documentation to MAPI enable it.

Emailing Images After They Are Captured:

After you configure the E-mail function, you can attach one or more images to email messages by selecting them and then clicking the E-mail icon in the Main Window.

Alternatively, you can attach images to messages by doing the following:

  1. Select one or more images in the Main Window File List Box or in the Thumbnail Viewer.
  2. Click E-mail on the Main Window menu bar or on the Thumbnail Viewer menu bar and click on your email client, or
  3. Right click on one or more selected file names in the File List Box or images in the Thumbnail Viewer, click Send Mail To in the drop-down menu and then click on your mail client.

Emailing Images Immediately After Pressing The Print Screen Key:

Select Email Only in ScreenPrint's Output box.

Email Message Settings
